Lucidentity- Just a question- if you are planning on making things right with Jehovah & the organization, why are you here at this website? This is for those who have left & want the comfort & understanding of those who have been there. I would NEVER have come here if I was planning on going back. You know how the society feels about these websites.

I do know how you felt- the first time I left- it wasn't because I was against Jehovah or his teachings, but the congregation was backing me in a corner, and treating me badly- and I just wanted out!

I don't think anyone in here tries to get those who are happy to leave the organization. If you are happy, great for you! It didn't work for us. We are not out mass emailing people. This site is to vent & talk. Thats what we do :-) I am new on here- but I have found alot of great comfort from the others- which I was unable to get from other friends who just didn't understand.

People in here hate the ORGANIZATION, not Jehovah (For the most part) When I was a witness, I smoked, drank, had very very bad thoughts, did bad things. When I left- I became a good christian. Cleaned up my act, pray more, study more- I just don't sign on the dotted line to the organization anymore.

If you are happy- great! Its a personal choice- everyone has to do what their hearts tell them.

Well, that wasn't as bad as I thought I would get :-) Thanks for being so nice everyone! It's just that I have a good friend who also had the same background as I did- and when she left the organization, she left God as well. She said no god would allow her to go through the torment she went through being a witness all those years. Yes, everyone has a right to believe or not believe, but in my opinion, if you stop believing in God because of that cult- they still are "winning' Just my opinion. I, too, went about 7 years before I "looked up God" again- and when I did- it felt great. Everyone has their own opinions, ideas, and are on their own time schedule. I guess its kind of like someone who gets divorced & says they will NEVER marry again. Marriage isn't bad- just picked the wrong mate- had a bad experience. Same with God. The witnesses are a VERY bad representation of him- but he's still there. In my opinion, that is :-)

Seems like alot of people have bad things to say about Jehovah in here. I don't. It's not Jehovahs fault the organization is so ****ed up. I think when people leave the organization, they lump it all together- Jehovah- religion, organization, etc. I HATED the organization & what it stood for- and thought it was a bad representation of Jehovah (God- whatever name you want to use) But, it isn't God's fault that people are screwing up in his name! Seems like ALOT of people leave the witnesses & become atheist or agnostic, or doubtful. I am not doubtful there is a God, but just doubtful that he used the WTS to be his one & only means.

Just wanted to say that. Besides that- this site is awesome! :-)

Yikes- I have a feeling I am going to get a tongue lashing on this one! BUT, Jehovah (GOD) has been WONDERFUL to me. Its those brainwashed cult people that are messed up- hard to seperate it at times, though, I know.

Apostasy Unforgivable?

i was taught this by my parents.

I just posted a question about this two days ago. My mom said that apostacy was the unforgiveable sin. Then I asked her if someone was an apostate, then decided it WAS the "TRUTH" what would happen? She said- Jehovah is a loving god & would forgive then & welcome them back. "So it isn't the unforgiveable sin?" She couldn't answer it- said she'd research it. Course, the research she does is all in the WTS literature...........

Peace- you were lucky. My mom signed a sheet that said I was NOT to attend sex ed classes. GET REAL! What exactly were (ARE) they afraid of?!?! They want children by age 5 to know the books of the bible, know the ten commandments, know gods qualities, but at age 20- we didn't need to know about sex? I still think the phrase "going postal" should be change to "Going JW" cause alot of witnesses & exwitnesses have so much bitter, hard feelings, makes you want to EXPLODE!

My mom never even explained periods, nothing!

So, my question is this: Why wouldn't witness parents want their children informed? Is being naive a cure for sexual impulses? I posted something on here once about funny honeymoon stories- seems like ALOT of couples don't have a clue as to what should or will happen. I just wonder if the "good" parents- you know- the perfect elders teach their children about sex, what happens, etc- or if everyone is clueless?

Funny story- the first time I was with my husband he said "Can you cum this way?" I was thinking he meant COME as in move- so I moved. (HA HA- funny know) I was sexually retarded. I think they want you to be!!!!!!!!!!!

Most "worldy" parents I know EXPLAIN things to their children- like what happens during puberty, what the natural urges are, what to do, what happens when you DO start having sex, etc.

Any comments fellow "Sexually retarded" witness children?

P.S. I've made up for lost time :-)~~~~~~~~~ I could teach a class or two now :-)

My B/F told me he's a J/W after months of dating!

hi, i'm 17 and i've just recently become a member of this website and i want you to know what has happened to me over the past months.back in sep/oct 2001 i started chatting to a 20 year old bloke via the internet and we developed a great friendship over the net.we would talk online for ages,text and phone each other loads,we sent each other photos of ourselves and he would often put his webcam on for me to see.before i knew it he played a great part in my everyday life...and i spent so much time chatting to him that my college work suffered a lot & i wasn't doing my coursework (i eventually got told to leave as i hadn't done loads of the assignments and stuff & had fallen behind).

after about 6 months we arranged to meet up (i made sure my parents were at home coz i know it's dodgy to meet people from the internet).anyway,he came round my house one evening in march and we got along soo well...he lives quite locally too which was good.our friendship then grew into a relationship and we started dating and going out together,i was sooo happy and i fell for him in a massive way & he said he felt the same way too.to me,he was a girls dream come true...he was kind,caring,fit,good-looking & gentle and i loved him to bits!,i still do,and i thought we'd be together forever.

something that i did find a bit strange though was i hadn't met his family yet or heard my boyfriend talk much about them.i would question him about his family but he seemed to get a bit funny about it and when i mentioned about meeting his family he said something along the lines of ''they're a bit strange,you might not like them'' (or something like that anyway).that got me thinking and i though prehaps they lived in a run-down place or something,or they wern't very nice people and i thought my b/f could be ashamed to let me meet them.i thought to myself to give him time & he'll see that i'm an understanding & nice person and hoped that he would soon come out and tell me what the problem was (thinking it was about what i've just mentioned).

Take the advice of everyone on here- and LEAVE THIS BOY NOW! Not to mention the fact that he hid his religion & family from you, and you from them, but TRUST ME- the heartache would be ALOT easier now, than later. The religion is DEEPLY ingrained in him, and he will at some point give you the ultimatum to be a witness or he will break it off. OR, he will get kicked out because he is with you- and if he isn't mentally ready to leave- that will cause severe depression & guilt. Drop him now. Trust me- all the love in the world cannot make up for the heartache of the roads ahead.

oral sex

would someone who was a jw all his life (24 years) know he's not suppose to be giving/receiving oral sex?

is it possible he might not have heard about this rule?

does it not apply if the person is disfellowshipped?

I was told by a "JUDICIAL COMMITTEE" (ooooooooooohh) that oral sex was frowned upon by witnesses, because it bordered on unclean, but what you do behind your own private doors is your own business, but they wouldn't recommend it, or suggest it be topic of conversation out in service :-)
